About

I have created art for as long as I can remember. The first amount of money I ever earned was from selling artworks at Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach markets back in 2001 when I was 17. Fresh out of high school with no job, no qualifications and no money I painted a batch of canvases and sat at the markets week after week. I still remember the feeling I felt when I sold my largest canvas on my first day.
In 2005 I graduated from the University of NSW, College of Fine Arts with a Bachelor's degree in Design majoring in Textile and Graphic Design. Since then I have pursued a design career combining my artistic ability with graphic skills. My unique approach to art and design has led me to work with iconic Australian and international companies such as Adairs, The Jungalow, Kollab, Greenhouse Interiors, Nakula, Ravesi's, Mambo, Tigerlily & Westpac.
In 2018, after 14 years of working in graphic & textile design, I was made redundant from my job. I was beyond devastated. My husband had just undergone major open heart surgery to replace his aorta two months prior and was still recovering. We were at such a low place mentally, emotionally and financially and ultimately I felt as though I had let my family down at a time when they really needed me to step up. I felt so incredibly helpless. The thought of failing my family made me hit rock bottom and I was really down for months on end. Then something switched, and that sadness turned to determination. With all of the knowledge and experience behind me to start a small business, I came up with a business plan and decided I would really give selling my art a go.
In May 2019 I launched my business - it was the scariest thing I’ve ever done.
Fast forward to 4 years later… I have worked with some pretty incredible brands so far, I am doing what I love and literally pinching myself everyday for the opportunities that have presented themselves.
My artworks are inspired by nature and are hand drawn with copic markers and/or painted with gouache and acrylic polymer emulsion. I would describe them as colourful, full of rich tones and intricate patterns. Illustrations are Fine art (Giclee) printed on 100% textured cotton rag, 310gsm museum grade fine art paper and 340gsm artist canvas, poly-cotton (OBA - FREE with no optical brighteners). They are all printed in Australia using the highest quality materials and are made to order to prevent waste.
